Go Ask Alice

                            Go Ask Alice-Anonymous 5.08

For my virtual school class Free Choice Blog Assessment 5.08 I decided to read Go Ask Alice by an Anonymous person .This books organizational pattern is in chronological order from the beginning to the end.I actually read the whole book in about a week. This book is still knows to be a diary of a real anonymous teenage girl who was addicted to drugs. In my research I found out that the diary was from 1971. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes non fiction books, mystery and is an open minded person.

I believe that the authors purpose was to just keep her thoughts written down and actually have some sort of communication and be able to hide her secrets and emotions. This story is in a chronological order starting from the beginning to the end with the writers death.

Summary/Self response

This book started of with a 15 year old girl keeping a diary. From the beginning of chapter one she introduces her thoughts and personal life at home and school. She records her thoughts and concerns on her weight, crushes, sexuality, and her problems getting along with her parents. She talks about her father who is a college professor was asked to move somewhere else and she was optimistic about it.She felt like a loner in the new school and she didn't fit in.Her and a girl named Beth became best friends but then Beth was sent to a summer camp. There was a point where she moved with her grandparents i the story and met with and old friend Jill. The girl who wrote the diary was invited to a house party. At that party they handed out sodas(which some were laced with LSD) and she unwittingly drank some with LSD.After that party she still communicated with the people from that night and started willingly doing more drugs and she ended up losing her virginity while on LSD.She ended up good friends (very fast) with someone named Chris and were being used by 2 college guys who were drug dealers. They would sell drugs for them. When they discovered they were being used they moved to San Francisco.Chris got a job at a boutique and hired by a women named Shelia.Shelia ended up inviting them to a party which they ended up taking drugs.Shelia and her boy friend introduced heroin to the diarist and Chris and raped both of the girls...In the end after being on and off drugs she was found dead by her parents.

I like this book and enjoyed reading it as well, i was hoping for a better ending but its just the way it turned out to be. :)

The Lovely Bones 4.08

                         Free Choice Blog Assessment 4.08

"The Lovely Bones"

For my virtual school class Free Choice Blog Assessment 4.08 I decided to read The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold .This books organizational pattern is in chronological order from the beginning to the end. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery and sad stories with sum sort of hope.

          summay/ personal reaction

This books chaper 1 stared of with he main character (narator) Susie Salmon. Fom the beginning you can tell that she is a young 14 year old who is full of hope. In chapter 1 it introduces Susie like she is already in heaven. It talked about how she was murdered since December 16, 1973 by her neighbor, Mr. Harvey.Susie was going home after school in a snowy day so she had decided to take a shortcut on her way home but then she comes upon Mr. Harvey there in the dark in a cornfield. While reading this story I felt my heart beating fast. The organizaton pattern that I observed was order of importance and chronological order
The details were so specific and clear that I put myself in  Susie's position.I felt mad at Mr.Harvey.

Mr.Harvey started to have a conversation with her while she told him that shehad to go home he said to Susie that he wanted to show her a a really cool "hiding place". It was like a wooden undergroun hatch.Since shewas so innocent and has bever been really in a dangerous situation she simply went with Mr.Havey down to the "hiding place".She thought Hare was wierd but he dad had told her before ta he was "just character". Susie wanted to know everything about tha room including how he built it and how he learned to build it.Hrvey ad pressured Susie to stay for a while and have a coke. Then he started asking questions about her personl ife and things you shouldnt ask a 14 year old.H asked he if sh d a boyfiend and if she was a virgin. From tha moment that I read that I knw what was going to happen. :(
   ....Harvey raped Susie Salmon brutally.

Twilight 3.07

For my virtual school class Free Choice Blog Assessment 3.07 I decided to read Twilight by Stephen Meyer.I read the first chapter of this book and it was extremely fun and made me really enjoy it. This book got so famous they created four books and movies. It was a windy day "November 20,2008" I remembered staying up till midnight at the movie theatres waiting for the movie to start. The movie was originally scheduled to be released on December 12 2008, but Harry Potter in the release of  the Half Blood Prince was delayed, Twilight moved up and took their release date.
As I read chapter one i soon started noticing big vocabulary words like omnipresent and claustrophobia.I believe the authors intent of writing this book was to simply entertain a reader. To be honest this book is actually really interesting to read. Once I started reading I didn't want to stop.

It all begins with Bella the main character moving to  Forks, Washington which is the rainiest place in the U.S. Bella moved from Phoenix and she really wanted to stay with her mom but she lied about it and acted like she was okay with it. Bella's dad picked her up from the airport once she arrived to Forks. Her fathers name is Charlie. He bought Bella a "COOL" vintage truck so she won't feel too stranded living in small-town Forks. The next day the first day of school for her was considered to be awful. She was pretty much the new girl and everybody gave her weird looks and didn't look so welcomed. She saw the Cullen family during lunch and then she had to sit next to Edward. In the end of chapter one she runs again toward Edward by the schools office while he was trying to change his schedule so he wouldn't have classes with Bella. While reading this book it made me feel like if I was reading something from Jane Austen because of how she writes romantic fiction. You can tell from chapter one that something is going to happen between Edward and Bella.
This books organizational pattern is in chronological order from the beginning to the end. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Fiction and romance novels with some action. It will sure keep you entertained.... :)

Wandering Child-Hit and Run

"02.07 Free Choice Blog."

For my virtual school class Free Choice Blog Assessment I decided to read "Wandering Child-Hit and Run" by : Fuzzy-Pamplemousse. This book attracted me because I remembered that when I was in middle school I had read a book called Hit and Run but I believe it was by someone else. I read the first chapter of this book and was hooked on it. I liked it a lot. It was kind of like a mystery. I didn’t really know what was going to happen in the end and all the sudden the story got more interesting with gunshots coming from few blocks away from wear the main character was at. If I had to do notes to this book(chapter) I would do list and in chronological order so I would be able to remind myself of the whole chapter in an easy way.

My summary of the book(CHAPTER1): This books chapter one started of with a girl talking about turning eight-teen years old. She said she had turned into a rebel and didn’t even want to go to school and her mom claimed to her that its just a period of time where she is growing up and will lose herself. Her mom told her that she would soon find herself again and return to how she used to be. She realized that she loved reading books and it was just her and her books. Her friends had shifted away. She saw her friend Tammy and decided to ignore her and just keep reading a book. She noticed in front of the book a note from a father to a daughter and a tear went down her cheeks reminding herself she didn’t have a dad. She later went to the librarian and said she wanted to check out a book but they told her it didn’t belong to the library that she had to find who was the owner of the book. So she simply kept the book and walked out going home. She had walked for about 2 blocks away from the library and she heard gunshots and called 911. She was happy when she heard the sirens and asked the man if he thought that he would get away with shooting someone and he told her that she was next. :)
